Investigation: November 14th 2004 - Greenpoint, Brooklyn NY: Swimming Pool - Spirit of a young girl seen walking around at night. Investigators: Dom V, Joe M, Tony S, Neil T Conclusion: Opened in 1936. The pool was closed in 1983 to begin repairs and was never reopened again. It is rumored that a little girl had drowned there. She is seen roaming the area at night calling for help. (According to Haunted Places). Park permits do not allow entrance into the pool area. The investigation was conducted on the outside perimeter. I was unable to find the name of the little girl or the year she supposedly died at the pool. There are no public records of deaths at the pool. EMF readings were taken along with dowsing rods, Compass, radiation readings, photos , IR thermometer, and psychic feelings. The EMF detector and dowsing rods were very active. Several spots caused a 50° drop in temperature and orbs were seen on photos. We will be returning to the area with a infrared video camera. No EVP's were recorded due to high traffic noise. News Update: Oct. 10th 2007: Plans are to restore and open the Greenpoint Pool in 2008-09. The pool is now used for concerts. I recently went to the pool for the Beatsie Boys Concert and it brought back childhood memories and past investigations. I will keep my ears open for any stories of the Haunted Pool! Update: Oct. 22 2007: Information from a guard who worked at the pool from 1976 - 1981 has reported that he discovered and pulled out a young man from the 16 Ft pool in 1977-78. This is the first solid proof of a death in the pool. I will try and find out more details. Case remains OPEN |
